It was a blustery evening with first responders racing around the valley. The power went out at the parish, but still our volunteers gathered to create the annual Thursday Christmas Meal.
The gas stove and oven warmed the lantern-lit kitchen as turkey, potatoes, stuffing, soup, and veggies cooked.
The candlelit tables were filled to capacity as people put food on their paper plates and ate their fill.
Truely there is still power on a powerless night.
