God’s Great Family is made up of children of every age. We are all God’s Beloved Children! We work to include children in our Sunday Services by hosting a children’s program and by inviting the children to participate fully in the service (reading, serving, etc.). It is important to us children know that St. Dunstan’s is their space.
Sunday Program
Our Sunday morning Children’s Program is run by a group of volunteers. We use the Godly Play cirriculum. This interactive program encourages children to speak about their own experiences of faith and God. We trust that when a child speaks they are just as connected to God as we are.
Children return to their guardians to participate in communion at the end of the service. On the first Sunday of the month children stay in the worship service with their guardians to participate and learn the rhythms of the liturgy.
Messy Church
We have special services geared toward children and their families. From September to June we hold a Messy Church on the 4th Friday of the month in the evening (4:30pm to 6ish). These services include a meal, crafts, singing and a brief service of communion. All are welcome!
Our Children’s Program volunteers must all complete a criminal record check.
