Parish Council News
April 9, 2025 Parish Council Highlights Monthly Theme Discussion: Building Teamwork and Strengthening Communications Extreme Weather Response (EWR): EWR Task Force met on March 30 to define their scope of research. The Task Force will share their research and will provide recommendations at the June Parish Council meeting Annual Fundraising Gala date set to be held on Saturday, September 27. Alyssa Nielson shall make a return to be our entertainer. Dishwasher was successfully repaired on April 1. Financial Update: Q1 Report has been delayed due to vacation schedule of staff and the new Treasurer. Report will be available at the next meeting Building & Grounds Update:
Children, Youth and Family Ministry: A task group was formed to invite inputs from current stakeholders to develop a job description for a Children and Youth Worker. Memorials on parish grounds: Charlie Fox was invited to Parish Council to discuss issues around requests for memorials. It was recommended that trees are not to be planted in the back of the property but only in the corridors leading up to the Memorial Garden. All requests for memorial acts need to be approved by Parish Council and trees should be planted by a certified arborist with drought resistance in mind. The Office will update the Memorial Service brochure to include update fees structures and guidelines on acts of memorial. Next Meeting: May 21, 2025 |
